Announcement re: PFO and ps.com

Post by legia_piotr » Tue Jun 05, 2012 7:53 pm

Pretty pleased we finally worked this out. Party & I were a few beers in (with the legendary JDE) when we ultimately decided this made sense.

http://www.polishfootballonline.com/news.php?nid=661

As you'll see, we have 2 links to ps.com on our frontpage now (described in the above article) and Party has put up a link on the navbar (right under Kuba & Lewy).

cheers, good to be back. 8-)

pahaha not begging, it makes sense and made sense from the get-go. (i.e. it was a mutual decision over a beer)

We have a pretty good site and I'm happy with it so far... but no pressure, you don't have to visit.

well, that's not my call man.

For the record, I don't know the stats but I know ps.com generates way more traffic than my site.

Is it a handout? Should I give Party a thank-you gift? yeah maybe 8-)
It's never been, and never will be, about ad $ or shit like that... seriously, that's laughable.
(eg. we only added ads in the last month or so)

But if you guys prefer PolishSoca, no one's twisting your arm. hahaha

anyways...

obviously. no competition.

never thought it was about the money or anything like that. I know why you started the site and applaud you
for keeping it going even with its low ( or none at all) activity. But, i doubt this will make your site much more active then it already is and it doesnt do squat really for ps.com

polishsoca  no comment

You must think we literally would get 10 hits a month. haha

We've done alright man, don't worry about it. I'm not complaining... I just got e-mails from Opta Sports that one of their football analysts used our site for a team preview (and asked for further collaboration); I got an e-mail from Sports Illustrated China and I'm meeting a reporter in W-wa to do a feature article on Polish soccer; and through some blogger connections I know (mostly via Twitter), I will get hooked up from T-Mobile while in Warszawa (some blogger networking thing in the strefa kibica, free food, booze, etc.).

Cheers man, nice to be back. Looks like some of the crazies have left

Chris and Mistrzu have other priorities from what I now (marriage/engagement)
I'll be in Poland during Euros so may not have as much time to visit here or write for PFO, but we'll see...

I still go to PolandSoccerBlog.com more than PFO lol. Both great sites but the simple appeal of PSB somehow wins me over time and time again
ps.com has seen napster, aj axurre, rasiak, msn messenger - all of them - come and go quietly into the good night, and here it stands - a profitable internet giant in the face of all obstacles making a tidy profit from google adsense - JDE
