Yeh,the Oasis stadium tour has begun! 2 shows at the City of Manchester stadium. I'll post after the gig tomorrow and tell you what it was like. It's highly likely to be the same set for the Manchester gig !

Yeah, I saw them in Toronto 2 Fridays ago (June 17) - the boys were in fine form. I'd imagine the setlist will be very similar (Oasis have a reputation for sticking to the same setlist) + a few more songs... because, after all, it is Manchester and it is @ Man City's ground!!

Oasis were fucking amazing, they sounded so good live !! The only thing dissapointing was that their set was only and hour and a half, way too short for such a band ! They didn't play Acquiesce or Supersonic which was crap, they played most of the songs from their new album, which is amazing. They didn't play Part of the Queue or Let There Be Love which are 2 of the better tracks. Started with Turn up the Sun and ended with My Generation! They even played Bring It On Down from Definitely Maybe ! Overall though, they were fucking superb.

Röyksopp - Sombre Detune

Anyone else got their new album "The Understanding"? It's taken me longer to get into than their debut effort did... but now I can hear some very good things happening indeed. 8)

For one it has more vocals than Melody AM, and is a bit more "poppy". Also, the instrumental songs on this album are darker and harder than the more chilled-out style they had going on much of the first album.

If you want it to sound like the their first album and can't get past that it might be shit... and I must say I was a bit dissappointed at first because it sounded nothing like it.

I don't like it as much as Meldody AM, but nevertheless it's very good apart from a couple of tracks that are a bit too pop in their sound. "Only this Moment" mentioned there is the single and one of my least favourite songs on there, for me falling under that category.

WWO - Nie Pisz Czarnych Scenariuszy

'Masz i Pomysl' quite possibly the best example of Polish hip hop at its best.

I've been doing some more listening this evening and as for the people who said it was "shit"... well, just tell them from me that they are idiots. :P

They probably gave it a brief listen in the record shop and didn't exactly hit it off with it straight away. I didn't either, but it has really blossomed for me. And there's always the likes "Beautiful Day Without You", "Someone Like Me" to ease you into it all if you are initially missing the "true" Röyksopp sound.

Whether it's better or not is all very much up to personal opinion, but Röyksopp certainly haven't got any worse in the 3 years, and they have certainly matured in their sound. Definately a good second album! Buy it! :D
