This "Modern Architecture" scares the daylights out of me. No historical standard, no respect or care for the "look" or "feel" of a city or town. Every idiot trying to "leave his mark" instead of preserving traditions and culture. I see Poland is being victimized more and more by this destructive mindset. We have some of the most beautiful buildings, architecture and traditions in the entire developed world and we throw up glass monstrosity in central Warsaw and let some moronic developer plan a 200ft tower of glass and twisted metal on the port of Gdansk. The Socialist era was bad enough..but give me some Bloki any day over this stuff.

What are you talking about? Those historical buildings during the time they were built the technology and money wasnt there to build it that high and such.

The Warsaw Spire is a great addition to WWA skyline. What was there before was much worse. Its a huge improvement and hopefully it will bring more new development in the area...

lol - you do realize it's Warszawa you're referencing here, right? Surely I don't have to explain her history to you? You want to preserve the currently standing tradition of the city? So essentially you want to build more drab commie blocks as far as the eye can see? That's what you want? Or do you want to build some fictitious and artificial replication of stare miasto in the wola district? Warsaw is what warsaw is, faken architectural chaos, and after being leveled beyond existence, having to live through the PRL days, enduring the horrible designs of the 90's, I say, for a girl to have gone through all that, she is quite beautiful in retrospect.
