Take a look at filmweb.pl under rankings to see what you think she might like. Then go to peb.pl and download it.

It's been a decade's worth of minutes and life since I've watched the dekalog films. I find myself now still as mesmerized by its poignant beauty as I was back then in my youth upon initial viewing. It's heartbreaking cinema with a rewarding intellectual reflection to whatever conclusion you may draw from it personally.

I ventured into Best Buy a few years ago, and strolled into the dvd/bluray aisle to see what's new that I could go home and download. Low and behold I found a complete 10 movie dvd box set of The Decalogue with an introduction by Roger Ebert. At first the $60 sticker price was a bit hard to overcome, but I think the sheer unexpectedness of finding the set allowed me to proceed with procurement. A truly great work of cinema.

Quite a few Polish films from the 80's and 90's really stand out to this day...

*adds Dekalog to must-watch-ASAP list*

Yeah I think Rising 44 is suppose to come out this year, if it didn't already.
