The pretty cool thing is that there is only one group (Barcelona's) that has no Polish players in it.

Miroslav Radović w Legii

32-letni pomocnik Miroslav Radović został ponownie graczem Legii Warszawa - poinformowała oficjalna strona serbskiego FK Partizan.

Umowa Radovicia z Legią będzie obowiązywać przez dwa lata z opcją przedłużenia o rok. W tym sezonie w barwach Partizana rozegrał siedem spotkań w lidze i strzelił dwie bramki.

Radović wcześniej był zawodnikiem Legii w latach 2006-2015. Ze stołecznym klubem dwukrotnie świętował mistrzostwo Polski, zdobył pięć razy Puchar Polski i raz Superpuchar

R u happy that u can wear your Rado jersey again??? ;)

He is Legia. He is da leader. I hope Legia sign Wszolek and a good defender.
I hope they finalize this dude from Georgia. And keep the rest of the cash.
dont sign any more Ek rejects like Piech or Maslowski.

Zagreb has the record for worst CL group stage performance.
6 losses and -19 goal differential in 2011.

I never stopped wearing his kit Broski, even had it on at a Polish pub when we played Ajax and Milik broke our hearts

I got grief from some Legia fans that day sitting beside me, but I quickly made myself crystal faken clear:

-Dude gave us 9 faken years!
-Nobody in their right mind after being paid an EK salary would refuse the Chinese money at that age and stage in their career
-Berg was a mental midget that got emotional and made a moronic blunder excluding Rado from the squad
-Timing sucked shit, but such is life

Oh well, hopefully Miro still has fire in the belly and enough quality petrol in the tank to write a last hurrah chapter and ending to his Legia playing career.

Either way, I’m super stoked to have him back in the fold, in whatever capacity time will reveal.

lmao @ maslowski dancing

I was really happy to see Rado back at Legia. I completely agree JDE, nobody should blame him for taking that Chinese offer - it wasn't his fault that Legia threw away the title after he left.

He will most likely play as a substitute for Niko but there are cases where he might play as a secondary striker right behind him. Hasi has a lot of players to juggle and it will be interesting how he does it. Not happy with Legia letting go Brzyski - now we have only 1 LB and Brzyski didn't deserve to be dumped like that.

I actually dreamt the other night that Legia won 1-0 vs Real Madrid at L3 with a miraculous long distance strike from Kucharczyk :)

I love keeping stats of how Polish players do in soccer. Here are some CL stats I came up with if anyone is interested:

In the last 5 CL seasons, they only two players to have scored more goals that Lewandowski (32) - Messi (46) and Ronaldo (65). FYI Muller (30), Benzema (27), Ibrahimovic (25), Aguero (17).

These are the keepers Lewandowski has scored on in the Champions League:
Franco Costanzo (Olympiacos), Kenneth Vermeer (Ajax), Iker Casillas (Real), Andriy Pyatov (Shakhtar), Willy Caballero (Malaga), Diego Lopez (Real), Steve Mandanda (Marseille), Wojciech Szczesny (Arsenal), Yuri Lodygin (Zenit), Morgan De Sanctis (Roma), Joe Hart (Man City), Fabiano (Porto), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona), Eduardo (Zagreb), Petr Cech (Arsenal), Roberto (Olympiacos), Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Jan Oblak (Atletico)

Since the 2006/2007 CL season, 34 different Poles have played in the Champions League (not including qualification).
(Robert Lewandowski, Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Piszczek, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Artur Boruc, Michal Zewlakow, Lukasz Fabianski, Mariusz Lewandowski, Tomasz Kuszczak, Sebastian Boenisch, Maciej Zurawski, Grzegorz Krychowiak, Lukasz Szukala, Marek Saganowski, Rafal Murawski, Arkadiusz Milik, Dariusz Dudka, Kamil Kosowski, Arkadiusz Glowacki, Adrian Mierzejewski, Ludovic Obraniak, Lukasz Teodorczyk, Wojciech Kowalewski, Ireneusz Jelen, Pawel Cibicki (he recently chose to represent Sweden), Marcin Zewlakow, Pawel Golanski, Dawid Janczyk, Marcin Wasilewski, Lukasz Skorupski, Jerzy Dudek, Jakub Wawrzyniak, Pawel Brozek, Przemyslaw Kazmierczak)

Break down by year: *Players are counted only if they made an appearance*

--Year-------------Matches-------Players-------Goals
2006/07:-----------25----------------5-------------0
2007/08:-----------29----------------8-------------0
2008/09:-----------24----------------8-------------1
2010/11:-----------20----------------6-------------1
2011/12:-----------44---------------10------------2
2012/13:-----------42----------------6------------11
2013/14:-----------40----------------7-------------7
2014/15:-----------37----------------8-------------7
2015/16:-----------30----------------4-------------9

2016/17: There are a total 20 Poles in the CL squads (11 of them from Legia).
Bayern: Robert Lewandowski
Borussia: Lukasz Piszczek
PSG: Grzegorz Krychowiak
Napoli: Arkadiusz Milik, Piotr Zielinski
Leicester City: Bartosz Kapustka, Marcin Wasilewski
Lyon: Maciej Rybus
Monaco: Kamil Glik
Legia: Michal Pazdan, Maciej Dabrowski, Tomasz Jodlowiec, Lukasz Broz, Arkadiusz Malarz, Bartosz Bereszynski, Michal Kucharczyk, Michal Kopczynski, Jakub Czerwinski, Radoslaw Cierzniak, Mateusz Wieteska.

Top 10 Poles in order of CL appearances:
1. Robert Lewandowski (52 apps, 32 goals) - came closest to winning in 2012/13 - losing to Bayern 1-2
2. Jerzy Dudek (47 apps, 0 goals) - won the CL with Liverpool in 2004/05 - what a great day that was - I still remember Shevchenko's face http://static.wixstatic.com/media/01374 ... 031f21.jpg
3. Wojciech Szczesny (31 apps, 0 goals) - never made it past the Round of 16
4. Michal Zewlakow (31 apps, 0 goals) - made it to the Round of 16 only once with Olympiacos in 2007/08
5. Lukasz Piszczek (29 apps, 0 goals) - came closest to winning in 2012/13 - losing to Bayern 1-2

Anyway - hope you guys found some of it interesting.

You're upset Legia let go of Brzyski ? Dude are you crazy ? He was without a doubt one of Legias worst players during the last 3 years. The only reason he always kept getting a spot on the team was because we've never had a good LB and occasionally he'd score a goal or have a good game but that would be like 1 in 15. Shocking, shocking player. He's 34 too. Why would you want him to stay on ?

But poor timing especially as Hlousek is suspended for BVB.

I found your stats interesting though.

One of Legia's worst players over the last 3 years? What about Suler, Pinto, Augusto, Ojamaa, Maslowski, Trickovski, etc. Brzyski led the EK in assists in 2013/14 with 14, tied for 3rd in the league in assists in 2014/15 with 10. These are great stats for an aging full back. He even played for the national team 5 times during this span. Of course he can't perform any longer at the level required by Legia - but there is no reason to let him go the way Legia did. He should have stayed on as the backup LB. Who is Hlousek's back up now? Hasi will have to either waste Gui at that position or force fit Broz into it. Our CL squad has 1 LB, 2 RBs, and 5 CBs.
