2013 TRANSFERS thread

Post by legia_piotr » Mon May 28, 2007 11:57 am

Try to keep important transfer rumours, news and confirmed deals in this thread. Again, if a transfer is big and worthy of its own thread & discussion, go ahead & create a separate topic for that.

cheers

Stupid signing in my opinion... Voronin is an very old player and Liverpool don't need another old striker....

Liverpool to clinch Malouda deal in days
tribalfooball.com - May 29, 2007

Liverpool are in advanced talks with Olympique Lyon for winger Florent Malouda.
The Guardian says Liverpool hope to have secured the first of Rafael Benitez's major signings this summer by the time the Spaniard returns from a family holiday at the weekend, with Malouda edging closer to an £8 million switch to Anfield.

The France international, a key member of the side which reached the World Cup final last summer, has been told he can leave Stade Gerland after playing a significant part in Lyon securing a sixth consecutive French league title, with the 26-year-old keen to take on a new challenge.

Villa deal close for £22 million
29h May 2007
By Staff Writer

Chelsea are close to securing the services of Valencia star David Villa in a deal worth around £22 million.

Chelsea's first offer of £15 million for Villa was rejected by the Spanish club, but the blues are set to return this week with a much improved offer that meets the Spaniards valuation of the player.

The News of the World confirmed the deal this weekend, quoting a club insider as saying:

"Villa is the man Jose Mourinho wants but Chelsea don't want to pay silly money for him. Valencia have not ruled out a deal, but just want more cash."

I've also heard this rumor, if it becomes reality Kewell might have to leave.... but I'm sure theres heaps of clubs trying to sign Malouda...
