It's really not good, because now this is going to discourage other teams from spending money when they see that they have better results settling on mediocrity.

I still think that after this team spends a whole training camp together in the winter they're going to come back a lot stronger. Top 4 finish is still doable. As long as these owners aren't retarded and pull out after 1 season.

Their problem is their coach. The need to try out a new coach asap

You re right. The players didnt have a whole training camp together. Lots of new players, new ownership and new coach over the summer.

Basically a team built of players that couldn't cut it on others, no surprise

Yeah but those misfits are still better than 90% of the guys in the EK. They need the winter break and a real coach asap

Lechia was supposed to be a challenge to Legia and be a replacement to the new bums Lech and broke ass Wisla. They are the only club foreign owned :?

No other club takes qualification to Europe seriously other than Legia and I mean by a club that actually invests. The other bums just to sit around and collect Polish zloty tv money :?

Polish kids on the ball in new soccer program
Over 3,000 Polish children are now taking part in a football program which is jointly run by the club Lechia Gdansk and the Gdansk-based oil company Lotos.

Another step in the right direction.
ps.com has seen napster, aj axurre, rasiak, msn messenger - all of them - come and go quietly into the good night, and here it stands - a profitable internet giant in the face of all obstacles making a tidy profit from google adsense - JDE

Lechia have a solid midfield but their defense, attack and goalkeeping are very weak. Need to improve those areas. Borysiuk and Lukasik together are a top 3 DM pair in the EK.

Lotos sponsorem reprezentacji Polski?

http://sport.wp.pl/kat,1728,title,Lotos ... omosc.html

Lechia straci Lotos? Sportfive ma znaleźć nowych sponsorów

http://sport.wp.pl/kat,97434,title,Lech ... omosc.html

More bad news for Lechia. At least tho they will still be sponsoring the academy.

I REALLLLLY wanted this Lechia thing to work out...Sadly they have bombed and could even be relegated if they don't get it together. Their defenders are still too young or too bad to make a difference in the EK I suppose...They're weak up top too. All their big moves were midfelders and they've got a great young core if they can keep them together then maybe in a few years they can compete, but a bunch of them were only on loan and will be gone next year so Lechia will be up a creek without a paddle again unless they find a way to make moves permanent. Them blowing this may scare other owners from spending, which stinks.

Agreed Wisla. I was also hoping they would become one of the top teams to represent Poland in Europe, but again nothing has worked out for them. Maybe the winter break will bring something new and refreshing.

Wawrzyniak looks like a done deal.
Wojtkowiak is heading to Poland either way and he said Poznan didn't even contact him.
They also want Kupisz.

I thought someone like Kokoszka would help them out a lot more than a mid but from his rantings and appearances at Torpedo it looks like he's one of their best players.
