WKS Slask Wroclaw News

Post by SlaskWroclaw18 » Tue Jul 24, 2007 1:56 pm

They might be in the second league but since they come from a big polish city, I thought I could try giving them a thread here. Let's see if this thread will be succesful.

Anyway... with the league starting up this weekend, I really do hope Slask will be promoted to the Ekstraklasa. My dad heard on Wroclaw Radio that Zurek would be fired but apparently he is not.

Apparently the trainer is Ryszard Tarasiewicz and our first match is against Podbeskidzie. I'm still confused if Sztylka is still captain.

Well, a disappointing 3-0 loss to Podbeskidzie. Though it is only the first match of the season (and we have a new manager) it needs to get better. Benjamin Imeh seems like a potential "star' to help Slask back to the Ekstraklasa so I would like to see what he does in the next couple of rounds. I still have confidence in my Slask.

BTW
You can find Slask news at http://www.slasknet.com/
I will not let this thread die, even if I end up talking to myself.

not meaning to be a smartass but if you're hoping for Imeh to be a star for you then that can't be good

Not a star, but a more of a reliable player. Of couse I would like to see Ulatowski, Ganarczyk, etc to step up. From what I can tell, Imeh has speed, which could help. But I only saw highlights of the game so that might explain my "unusual" prediction.

Oops, my error. Knew it was just Pelikan but was thinking Polonia for some reason.
