'Our current generation of players are too weak' says Polish legend

http://www.polandsoccerblog.com/2013/06 ... s-are.html

I disagree about Fornalik. Not only are our players weak but PL coaches too. We need a foreign coach to get rid of PL soccer negativity mindset on the field because its leading to horrible performances. Its not gonna happen overnight with the next foreign coach if he will be hired but that is the only way. Its a small thing but at least its something positive.

Why Fornalik has to go [and why Boniek is sticking with him]

http://www.polandsoccerblog.com/2013/06 ... oniek.html

I agree with everything thats written about Fornalik current position. Our chances to qualify will require a miracle considering how bad the NT is playing. PZPN doesnt have the balls to admit that the we are not going to qualify with the way things are and change the coach now so that hopefully we will at least get to see a good performance for the remainder of the games.

The Polish national team's overall record under Lato with Fornalik was 2 wins (Moldova, South Africa), 2 draws (Montenegro, England) and 1 loss (Estonia). Under Boniek with Fornalik, Poland is 2 wins (San Marino, Liechtenstein), 1 draw (Moldova), and 3 losses (Uruguay, Ireland, Ukraine).
Look at the wins...pathetic.

Fornalik – too expensive to sack?
Despite Poland’s underwhelming performance in the World Cup qualifying group stages, coach Waldemar Fornalik’s position may still be safe as the cost of severance pay could deter his sacking. - See more at: http://www.thenews.pl/1/5/Artykul/13832 ... brO8J.dpuf

The Perzeglad Sportowy sports daily writes that Fornalik would have to be paid all salary up to the end of his contract, which expires in December this year.

That amounts to over 1 million zloty (250,000 euros) that the cash-strapped Polish football association (PZPN) would have to find if they decided to change coaches this year.

Poland could only manage a tame 1 – 1 draw with Moldova in Group H last Friday and currently languish in fourth place behind Ukraine, England and Montenegro, with little chance of qualifying for the finals in Brazil next year.

Fornalik is thought to be on a wage of 160,000 zloty (40,000 euros) a month, 10,000 zloty more than his predecessor Franciszek Smuda.
Are you serious :?: That much money and he didnt accomplish anything. WOW :!:

:o

Fornalik refuses to fall on his sword?

Polish media are reporting that Waldemar Fornalik has refused to end his contract as coach of Poland's national football side by mutual agreement.

Piłkarz Bordeaux w rozmowie publikowanej na serwisie 20minutes.fr twierdzi, że to nie z selekcjonerem Waldemarem Fornalikiem miał problem, ale z kierownictwem federacji.
ps.com has seen napster, aj axurre, rasiak, msn messenger - all of them - come and go quietly into the good night, and here it stands - a profitable internet giant in the face of all obstacles making a tidy profit from google adsense - JDE

Fornalik has been sacked...

Post by polish hooligan » Wed Oct 16, 2013 8:26 am

Waldemar Fornalik przestał być selekcjonerem reprezentacji Polski. Z kadrą pracował od 10 lipca 2012 roku.

- Chciałbym serdecznie podziękować trenerowi Fornalikowi za roczną współpracę i życzyć mu powodzenia w dalszej pracy trenerskiej - oświadczył prezes PZPN Zbigniew Boniek.

Fornalik prowadził reprezentację w 18 meczach. Osiem z nich wygrał, cztery zremisował i sześć przegrał. W zakończonych wczoraj eliminacjach mistrzostw świata "biało-czerwoni" zajęli czwarte miejsce w grupie.
