EURO 2020

Post by polskaforever » Sun Dec 01, 2019 2:13 pm

Schedule:

Monday 15 June
Group E: Poland v Play-off winner B (18:00, Dublin)

Saturday 20 June
Group E: Spain v Poland (21:00, Bilbao)

Wednesday 24 June
Group E: Sweden v Poland (18:00, Dublin)

:poland:

Here is how its going to go:

Its a must win for the first game but knowing Poland always screws up the opener by playing bad and Lewy wont score.

Second game is an automatic loss not just because its Spain but Poland will be so mentally fragile from losing the first game that they will lose 10-0 in this one. Lewy wont score in this one for sure.

Third game they will win when it wont matter anymore and Lewy will score and be the best ever.

This could be against Ireland or Northern Ireland. If that's the case, 2 of our 3 group games would be de facto road games.

Hey guys, it's been a while!

There's a decent chance I'll be going to Polska's first Euro game. It all depends on one of buddies.

I saw mattrock is going to the game, is anyone else?

Mattrock, I'm definitely down to meet up before and after the game to party! I'm still trying to figure out the rest of my trip, but I'll be going for 2 weeks. Are you staying Dublin or going somewhere else after the game?

Hey @Jakub, the plan is to stay in Dublin from June 13-16. Let's definitely link up for some drinking! Hoping that coronavirus doesn't derail things altogether. Let's see...

I tried to buy tickets earlier today and they're no longer available. It looks like my last chance will be in May at some point. That's not even guaranteed, because it will just be the "last minute sale" for any remaining tickets. I'll still try, and I'll definitely keep you in the loop!

This shit is so depressing.
As an individual, in club career, he is up there. His legacy for Poland is dismal. I'd even say Ebi. Smolarek was a better striker for Poland - Marty on Lewandowski

So Euro 2021 it will be ... it will be curious to see Poland's starting 11 as the team hasn't played a game in about half a year and nobody knows when they will play again and the Euro is now over a year away.

Could be some big new faces on the team by next year's Euro ... does anybody want to take a guess what new faces we'll see?

I can finally go to sleep peacefully knowing EURO will keep its 2020 name and logo.

UEFA EURO 2020
Following the postponement of UEFA EURO 2020 to the summer of 2021 and after a thorough internal review as well as several discussions with partners, the Executive Committee has decided that the tournament will still be known as UEFA EURO 2020.
This decision allows UEFA to keep the original vision of the tournament to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the European Football Championships (1960 – 2020).

It will furthermore serve to remember how the whole football family came together to respond to the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficult times Europe, and the world, had to go through in 2020.
This choice is in line with UEFA’s commitment to make UEFA EURO 2020 sustainable and not to generate additional amounts of waste. A lot of branded material had already been produced by the time of the tournament’s postponement. A change to the name of the event would have meant the destruction and reproduction of such items.
